Swim School Levels
Skills must be achieved before the student advances to the next level.
Level One
- Face in water/blow bubbles
- Head under water voluntarily
- Open eyes under water
- Front float with aid
- Back float with aid
- Kick with teacher

Level Two
- Front float
- Front glide
- Back float
- Swim 3-4 strokes freestyle
- 5 yards front kick
- 5 yards back kick and scull
- Introduce freestyle side breathing

Level Three
- Swim 5 yards freestyle with 1 breath to side
- Swim 5 yards of elementary backstroke
- Roll from front to back, back to front
- Introduce backstroke
- Perfect streamline off wall
- X-Y-I float on back

Level Four
- Swim 10 yards freestyle, face in the water with side breathing
- Swim 5 yards backstroke
- Swim 10 yards elementary backstroke
- Tread water for 30-60 seconds
- Sitting dive
- Introduce breaststroke
- Kick 15+ yards on your back

Level Five
- Swim 20 yards freestyle breathing every 3rd stroke
- Swim 15 yards backstroke
- Swim 20 yards elementary backstroke
- Swim 10 yards breaststroke
- Tread water for 1-2 minutes
- Standing dive
- Introduce butterfly

Level Six
- Swim 25 yards freestyle breathing every 3rd stroke
- Swim 25 yards backstroke
- Swim 25 yards breaststroke
- Swim 15 yards butterfly
- Timed endurance swim
- 10-15 yards front sculling
